Future Challenge Winners

Tonight I am excited to announce the winners for our FUTURE challenge.  This is our very first winning post since our blog site was redesigned.  With that comes a brand new featured winner badge - designed by the beautiful and talented Emma Stafrace.

Winner Announcement ***FUTURE***

The winners for the FUTURE challenge will be announced next Sunday (May 20th) and our next challenge word will be released on June 3rd. Sorry for the delay!  I thought that the new blog design was going to take a lot more time and be a lot more complicated than it really was - thanks to Emma's help! Design Team Call

Wow, it has been awhile since we have had a design team call ------- I am excited to announce one now though!

Design teams seem to be an evolving, fun loving and creative group of people.  Over the course of time that design team members are with me and Bird is the Word, we develop great friendships and I feel so lucky to get to know so many beautiful, warm people from all over the world.

Today, I am thrilled to say we are looking for additional design team members.  Bird is the Word has changed...only a bit in the last couple of weeks and we are looking for new members to join our group.

If you are interested, please keep all of this in mind:

• The minimum term length is six months, although we allow members to stay on as long as they wish
• You will be required to complete two layouts per month using the chosen word
• We ask design team members to vote on submitted layouts for each challenge
• We also ask design team members to comment on submitted entries

When emailing me, please include a little about yourself and also add a link to your blog which should include samples of your past work.

Smile Guest Design Team Layouts

Oh my gosh!  I did it again! One of my favorite parts about Bird is the Word are the guest designers.  Seriously...I mean that!  I love getting those happy emails from the guest designers saying of course they would be willing to be a GDT member....then I look forward to another email with their beautiful layouts.  So, yes, I did it again...I forgot to post the GDT layouts. I think it is because I have a special tab for them on our DT blog...anyway....here they are!!!  They are gorgeous!!

I also wanted to take a quick moment to thank you for your nice comments on our new blog look.  The previously submitted layouts look a little fuzzy, but that is because I stretched them from 50 to 75 pixels.  The new layouts that will be linked up should be crisp and clear.

Sunday, May 6 ***New Challenge Word....SMILE***

What do you think of our new blog and design?  I think Emma did an amazing job with our new, fresh look!  Be sure to grab the new badge for your blog. Next week at the winners announcement we will be giving away a new featured winners badge as well!

I also want to take a moment to thank all of you for stopping by, playing along or even just viewing the DT submissions and submitted layouts.  I don't always get a chance to comment on everyone's pages, but please know that your participation means a great deal to all of us!

On a side note --- I just came home from Cirque Du Soleil!  Have you heard of it?  I have been to numerous shows in the past, but it never ceases to amaze me.  For days I think back on it and revel in the wonder of what our bodies are truly able to do.....well not mine so to speak, but human bodies in general I guess. If you have not seen the show and get a chance in your future, be sure to take it!

Time to get down to business!  Our new challenge word today is SMILE.  ---A pretty uncomplicated word, but one that will send you straight to those happy pictures you have in your collection.  So, please go get your supplies, get your hands dirty and create!
